being around since may 2009, the greek imprint, blind stitch , now finds itself releasing a triple lp by label- head bengoa. a long story of sound and rhythmic communication can be found on this album, entitled -what you give-. this record features deep grooves, spiced with uplifting melodic crescendos and occasional collaborations, leaving a release full of impressions. laid back, groovy and mesmerizing sounds, take you through the narrative of this lp. with smoothly arranged soundscapes and old school synth vibes the record motivates listeners to move and get lost in the sounds. a productive output from bengoa, with focus on molding his own personal sound, and that of the alexandroupoli- based label. 3x12- of delicious deep house grooves, spiked with occasional vocal work, and reverberating glass like rhythmic percussions.

revealed last year as a side project by uk producer shifted, covered in sand now returns with a new ep: crescent shaped scars will be released on the sister label of his own avian imprint mira, which serves as an outlet for the more experimental and duskier side of electronic music. the release features three abrasive noise workouts. thud of drums and ritualistic rhythms define the opener luarica on the a-side alongside a near-melodic whine that stays present throughout the tracks. orapa (an interview) on the flip swallows and evokes scuffed voices of a conversation, striving into isolation, while venetia resumes the haunting rhythm and layers of distortion. as per previous mira releases, the artwork is done by juan mendez aka silent servant

butane teams up with andras toth for the *elements of truth* ep, set to be released via butanes very own alphahouse imprint. andrew rasse aka butane, launched the alphahouse imprint back in 2005 amidst the minimal explosion, working with the likes of troy pierce and quenum in the early stages. now, looking back on how things have progressed and seeing the imprint reach a thirty-release milestone here, the label has made quite the standing in its time, releasing cuts from luminaries such as skudge, ricardo villalobos and ion ludwig to name a few. here we see andras toth return to the label with the duos second collaborative ep following *futures* back in 2011.

nice price deal !!! xenogears is the name of the first studio project of marieu and lucretio, also known as the analogue cops. with this moniker they released a bunch of seminal techno cuts on the first chapters of their restoration imprint, back in 2007. tracks which were played by legends as anthony shakir, claude young and the suburban knight. now the xenogears are back with their first album *lost artemis*, showcasing their distinctive fast, detroit-inspired hardware techno. the album features a collaboration with their usual collaborator nomadronin (with whom they run the label bratha) and with the talented producer known as objekt. all the tracks are characterized by a strong fascination for hi-tech synthesizers and rusted vintage gears, a fast pace, and a minimal approach to live mixing. they have explored the subterranean territories between post-atomic noises and apocalyptic breakbeats, finding a way to equate machines with funkiness in an open battlefield.

talk about saving the best until last. if you thought that the first two parts of awanto 3s opel mantra trilogy were good, just wait until you hear part 3. it delivers a brilliantly breathless conclusion to what could well be one of the strongest debut albums of 2014. by now, you should know the script. amsterdam producer steven van hulle has previously shown glimpses of his musical talents, either with sporadic solo productions (see his superb 2010 debut on rush hour, for five), or alongside friends from the dutch scene (san proper, young marco and tom trago, in particular). opel mantra, a debut album split across three 12 inch singles (a cd version will follow later in the year), is his big reveal – our first chance to wallow in his unique and thrilling fusions of deep house, detroit techno and a multitude of vivid global influences.
